Championing human capital development for innovation

Chinhoyi University of Technology’s mandate is to champion the development and practice of design, innovation and technology, delivering tuition and application of sciences, art and design, whilst nurturing entrepreneurs by harnessing the merits of heritage-based Education 5.0.

The institution is fully geared to take lead in human capital development by adopting, optimising and deploying innovation and technology.

As CUT mobilises the tenets of Education 5.0, the University is remains cognisant of the ever-changing world in which we operate, hence the need for Chinhoyi University of Technology to be up to speed with emergent global dynamics.

In the context of Zimbabwe’s transformation and development, the country’s knowledge economy is driven by the human factor and citizens’ skill-sets.

In this regard, CUT seeks to contribute to the transformation of the country’s economy through products that ride on 21st century skills that create employment and entrepreneurial exploits whilst exercising vigilance to flux and dynamism.

As a University, we are changing the way we teach, how students learn, how we conduct research and how we contribute to the socio-economic trajectory of Zimbabwe.

As we re-imagine and reconfigure the higher education curricula through the Education 5.0 philosophy, we are realigning ourselves to the over-arching national narrative of tangibles (goods and services).

We reflect on this pathway by sharing with you our notable academic achievements, research outputs and awards.

Human capital development is the bedrock upon which our innovation and industrialisation exploits have birthed our Agro-Industrial Park, Innovation Hub, CUT farm and related University projects, spin-offs and strategic business units.

Our graduating Class of 2023 who get capped today, Friday 29th September 2023, have gone through the rigour preparing them to contribute to Zimbabwe’s human capital development.
