CHAMPIONS FC Platinum return to the place where they were crowned kings when they take on Chapungu on Sunday in a Castle Lager Premiership tie.
The Zvishavane miners are unbeaten in their opening four league matches and walk into this Midlands Derby with a spring in their step.
Chapungu have suffered two defeats, a draw and won once.
“Football is not about history but current form, that they won here to win the title will not have anything to do with this match as it is a different ball game altogether,’’ said Chapungu coach Tendai Chikuni.
“FC Platinum are a good team, well organised and well resourced that you cannot take away that from them but a football match is won by the way you apply yourself on the field of play on match day.
“Morale in the camp is very high and the players are motivated to do the job, the way they have been responding at training gives me confidence that we can do well on Sunday.’’
Cameroonian forward Albert ‘Eto’o’ Eonde opened his account for FC Platinum last weekend and could get a chance to prove himself again in this provincial derby.
