TINOTENDA Muringai is set to begin a new football life in Mozambique after joining top-flight side UD Songo on a one-year loan from Dynamos.

His arrival at UD Songo is a major boost for him, as he will get to play in the CAF Championship League.

Muringai said he is looking forward to the new challenge.

“I am excited about the move. It’s a new challenge and a lot is at stake.

“I am keen to see how it will go as the club is set to play in the CAF Champions League.

“The move is an opportunity to be seen by big clubs on the continent, and I will take my game seriously,” he said.

Muringai believes Dynamos will always be important in his football career as they gave him a platform to express himself.

“I have learnt a lot from Dynamos. It’s a club with many supporters and that comes with pressure.

“So, being with Dynamos taught me how to handle pressure.

“I know I am not going to be intimidated by the pressure that comes from the fans at any other club.

“It’s a bit easy to handle the crowds and I have already experienced it at Dynamos.”

He added:

“For me to be called Muringai, it’s because of Dynamos.

“They put me under the spotlight by giving me the opportunity to shine.

“In other words, I am very grateful to the club as it helped me a lot.”

The defender is contracted to Dynamos until 2024.

The Glamour Boys wished the player all the best.

“The club is pleased to confirm the loan of Tinotenda Muringai to Uniao Desportiva De Songo FC of Mozambique for a year with an option to extend.

“Muringai is contracted to Dynamos till 2024 and both parties mutually agreed on this deal, in the best interests of the player, given the opportunity to showcase his talent in the CAF Champions League given the state of international football in our country.

“We wish Tino well.”
