Rising media personality Isheanesu “ImThefinest” Muchena has pledged to fully utilise his podcast to transform the lives of young people.
Since launching his podcast a few months ago, he has been making a significant impact with uplifting stories he shares.
“We do not broadcast for the sake of doing it; my main objective is to positively change lives,” Muchena stated.
His episodes, titled “Wisdom and Purpose with IME,” are uploaded to his rapidly growing YouTube channel.
To date, he has hosted numerous guests who share their inspiring stories and wisdom.
These include decorated music producer and arts critic Clive “Mono” Mukundu, comedian Nyarie, Kelvin Birioti, Kundai Chitima and Zolile Makeleni.
New episodes are released every Monday at 1 pm.
In an interview with The Herald Arts, Muchena revealed that his passion for media, particularly radio, motivated him to start the podcast aimed at uplifting and transforming lives.
He is currently affiliated with Zimpapers radio station, Capitalk100.4 FM, and dreams to own an expanisve media company that accurately reports on African stories.
“I am currently associated with Capitalk100.4 FM, and my dream is to own a media house that tells African stories as they are,” Muchena explained.
He also expressed his ambition to make a breakthrough across the continent.
Muchena believes he has the potential to make a significant impact in Africa and beyond through his podcasts.
“ImTheFinest will be the biggest brand in Africa and beyond.
“I aspire to grow my podcast and travel the globe sharing inspiring stories that can positively impact lives,” he said.
He exemplifies the principle of starting with what you have, where you are.
Muchena began his podcast with limited resources, recording his first episode in a park with modest equipment.
However, the quality of his episodes has significantly improved since then.
“I encourage everyone to start with what you have and where you are.
“I started my podcast with what I had, and I am grateful for the progress. I want to take this podcast to the next level,” he stated.
As a student at the Christian College of Southern Africa (CCOSA), Muchena is committed to utilising his talent to tell empowering stories.
He believes he can portray the African narrative better by interviewing personalities who deeply understand Ubuntu.
At just 22, he has much to offer to the masses who believe in his stories and insights.
His quest is to make a lasting impression as a media personality and leave an indelible mark for years to come.
He also mentioned being open to partnerships with other brands and is actively seeking sponsorships.
“Even if just 100 people are watching my content, I will never give up. I will continue to provide them with the best content possible. I look forward to potential partnerships,” he emphasised.
