NUST alumnus Nyasha Charandura has reaffirmed his commitment to giving back to the institution through a generous donation of a full playing kit and footballs to the university’s team competing in the ZIFA Southern Region Division One League.

Charandura, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Major Sports Institute (MSI), said the gesture was motivated by his deep appreciation for the role NUST played in shaping his academic and professional journey.

The donation reflects the strong culture of excellence, leadership, and service that continues to define the NUST alumni community.

A former Zimbabwe national sprint champion, Charandura’s first love has always been athletics. In recent years, however, his passion has expanded to the football pitch, where he is leading a revolution in the application of sports science and modern performance technologies

He is among the few trained sports science and GPS tracking specialists on the African continent and has worked with the Zimbabwe senior national football team, Azam FC as well as the Tanzanian national team.
