Pastor Charles Charamba has defended his latest album “WeNarazareta” saying it has opened avenues for him on the international market. The album has been described as substandard with some critics suggesting that the Charambas could have done better considering the time they took to release new product.

Charamba sings together with wife Olivia.

In an interview, the musician who took close to four years without releasing new stuff said his album is now on Sony Catalogue International in South Africa and itunes among other international platforms.

“These are some of the platforms our album is now found, but since I started my career as a musician I have failed to make a breakthrough on the international market,” he said.

“We have for years pleased our fans in and abroad but our music has not been found on these important platforms,” he added.

The “Machira Chete” hitmaker said that this time round the hiatus between works is likely to be much shorter. “The songs are there and I don’t think we will take long time to release another album,” he said.

He said he has embarked on a national tour to promote his new offering.

“Since the album has been launched we are still to perform in different parts of the country,” he said.

On Saturday they will be performing in Chinotimba Stadium in Victoria Falls before they proceed to Binga for their first performance at DDF Habour.

The couple has released popular albums like “Johanne 3:16”, “Vhuserere”, “Amen”, “Daily Bread”, “Exodus”, “Sunday Service” and “Verses and Chapters”.

They are both pastors with theological training, which enhances their understanding of the Scripture.

They have toured the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia and have shared the stage with the likes of Solly Mahlangu, Sipho Makhabane, and Ron Kenolly, among others.
