A KWEKWE woman has applied for a protection order against her husband after she was caught red-handed with her boyfriend.

Sipho Dube made an application, seeking to block her husband, Cleopas Sibanda, from coming into their matrimonial home.

“We are customarily married and he has not been coming home for some time now.

“I am staying alone but he now wants to come back because he realised that I moved on.

“I want the court to grant an order that will stop him from coming to my place of residence and he should also be stopped from selling our matrimonial property because we acquired the property together,” said Dube.

However, Sibanda argued Dube wanted to use the court order to cover for her adulterous affair. Magistrate Samkeliso Gumbo granted the application for a protection order in favour of Dube.

The court advised Sibanda to find amicable ways to engage with his wife for the sharing of their property and solve their issues without resorting to violence.
