MANICA Diamonds’ battle for survival continues when they lock horns against Herentals this afternoon to kickstart the Castle Lager Premiership’s mid-week fixtures for MathDay 24.
The Gem Boys are seeking to secure victory and blow some wind in their sail from the murky waters of relegation, especially after losing their previous game 0-2 at home to CPAP United.
Their poor form has persisted since the start of the season, forcing the Mutare side to shuffle their technical department with nomadic coach Herbert Maruwa now in charge of plotting their great escape.
Herentals, on the other hand, have also been off the boil.
The Students are presently enduring a difficult run of themselves that has seen them winning only twice and losing three times in their last five games.
