The tantalising aromas of sizzling spices and simmering sauces will fill the air at Harry Allen Golf Club next week Saturday as Bulawayo-based chef, Sindiso Ncube takes centre stage at the Munch & Sip culinary event.

Brimming with excitement, Chef Sindi shared her enthusiasm for the opportunity to showcase her culinary prowess alongside fellow chef and collaborator Carl Joshua Ncube on the food stage. The food stage will complement the “Here We Dance” stage, where music will entertain fun lovers throughout the event.

“Being part of the “Munch Time” stage is incredibly exciting! It’s an opportunity to showcase creativity and passion for food and it feels great to contribute to a vibrant culinary community where flavours take centre stage,” she said.

Chef Sindi’s culinary approach is a harmonious fusion of traditional flavours and modern techniques, promising a unique experience for foodies.

“My culinary blueprint focuses on blending traditional flavours with modern techniques. Foodies can expect innovative dishes that highlight local ingredients and tell a story through each bite, ensuring a memorable experience,” she explained.

The opportunity to collaborate with other talented chefs, including Carl Joshua Ncube, the United Nations Tourism Special Ambassador for Gastronomy Tourism, holds special significance for Chef Sindi. “Collaborating and sharing ideas with talented chefs like Carl Joshua is inspiring. It’s a great chance to learn from one another and elevate the culinary scene together,” said the owner of the “Sage and Tyme Kitchen” brand.

For Chef Sindi, Munch & Sip is more than just an event; it represents a celebration of local culinary heritage and the joy of sharing food and drink with others.

“Munch & Sip is a celebration of our local culinary heritage and the joy of sharing food and drink with others.

“It’s important for locals to trust and embrace our own cuisines as it fosters pride in our culture and encourages sustainable practices within the community.

“We have so many resources at our disposal that we simply need to tap into,” she emphasised.

As the event draws near, Chef Sindi and her fellow culinary creators are ready to captivate the senses and bring a new level of gastronomic excitement to the Munch & Sip stage.— @MbuleloMpofu.
