Chelsea after Vardy

LONDON. — Guus Hiddink will be given cash to spend in January – even though he is only in temporary charge. Chelsea boss Hiddink’s No. 1 priority is likely to be Leicester’s in-form England striker Jamie Vardy as they desperately try to climb up the English Premier League.

Blues owner Roman Abramovich is ready to bankroll a big move in the January market and trusts Hiddink to identify targets despite only being caretaker manager.

Hiddink said: “Let’s go into the next few games and then we’ll see. We didn’t stipulate, but we know also that it’s always open. — The Mirror.
