ZIMBABWE wrapped up their ICC T20 World Cup group stage with a perfect record after cruising to a six-wicket victory over Sri Lanka at the R Premadasa Stadium in Sri Lanka on Thursday.

The World Cup co-host, Sri Lanka, won the toss, with skipper Dasun Shanaka opting to bat.

Unfortunately, the Asians could only post 178 runs for seven, led by Pathum Nissanka’s 62 runs off 41, while the trio of Blessing Muzarabani, Brad Evans and Graeme Cremer took two wickets each.

In reply, the Chevrons chased down the target led by Brian Bennett’s 63 runs off 48 to finish on 182 runs for four.
