CHITUNGWIZA-based poet, Takaedza Mandinyenya, has released his third electronic poetry anthology titled “Broken Reflections”.
Mandinyenya’s book revolves around the major theme of change. Mandinyenya said he has religiously been writing, and releasing the October electronic copy of his poems since 2020.
“Every year in October, I write an electronic copy of poetry anthology that is released strictly on the 19th after eighteen (18) days of poetry writing challenge.”
Mandinyenya’s third piece borrows from masculine voices like Robert Muponde, Chenjerai Hove, Dambudzo Marechera, Rupi Kaur, Rudy Francisco, and others.
His collection consists of 21 poems, which cut across various sub themes, from the predominant change.
He writes in first person narrative point of view, which suggests his close involvement, with the topical debate and discussion, enshrined in his anthology.
Mandinyenya says the inspiration for the religious publication came about as a plea to celebrate his birthday through wordplay.
