Chibi High’s victory was made possible by the brilliance of captain Godwin Chikwanda, Wellington Muuya, Chirongoma, Mandima, Innocent Munyimo and Tinashe Ratidzo.
Blessing Sahondo scored two goals for Pamushana but it proved insufficient.
For their efforts, perennial campaigners Pamushana went home with US$1 200.
Winners Chibi High were pooled in Group A alongside Vimbai High and Hwange Secondary in the group stages of the competition.
In the group stages, Chibi edged Mashonaland West representative Vimbai 1-0 and beat Hwange Secondary from Matabeleland North 2-1 to book a berth in the semi-finals.
Chibi High faced Harare representatives Lord Malvern who paraded Walter Musona, young brother of Warriors striker Knowledge, and won 2-1.
Pamushana were in Group B with Sakubva 1 High and Pakame Secondary School.
They first beat Manicaland representatives Sakubva 1 High 1-0 and eased past Pakame Secondary from Midlands 3-1, to top the group with six points.
In the semi-finals, Pamushana met Marondera High from Mashonaland East and won 3-0 to progress to the final.
Chibi High coach Rangani Njodzi was elated at defending the title and the victory was made more sweeter as they beat rivals Pamushana.
Njodzi said in the Masvingo Provincial finals, Pamushana had beaten them 3-0 at Mwenezi Government Secondary.
He believes they worked on their weaknesses and managed to overcome Pamushana in the national finals.
He pointed out that the win was made possible by hardwork, self-belief, commitment, fighting spirit and the desire to retain the trophy they won last year in Bindura.
Marondera High met Lord Malvern in the third place play-off and won 2-1, thanks to Brian Katsiru’s brace.
Tafadzwa Mukahlera replied for Lord Malvern.
Marondera High went home smiling after receiving US$1 000 while Lord Malvern got US$800 and the rest of the teams took home US$300 each.
During the individual awards ceremony, player of the tournament was awarded to Nigel Makumbe of Lord Malvern and he took home US$100.
Marondera High’s Katsiru received the golden boot award for scoring four goals and got US$100.
Denzel Chimwenje of Pamushana High was voted as the goalkeeper of the tournament and collected US$100 while Pakame High won the Fair Play award and took home US$400.
Chibi High coach Njodzi was voted as coach of the tournament and collected US$150.
