Man nabbed at roadblock for possessing dagga

LUCK ran out for a passenger after alert law enforcement agents arrested him at a police roadblock in Penhalonga for illegally possessing dagga last Friday.
National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the arrest of Noel Mbeure.
“On Friday, September 4, 2026, police in Penhalonga arrested Noel Mbeure (23) for unlawful possession of dagga. The suspect, who was travelling as a passenger in a Honda Fit vehicle, was arrested at a police checkpoint at St Augustine’s Mission. Following a search, police recovered a black satchel containing dagga,” he said.
Commissioner Nyathi urged the public to desist from carrying or using dangerous drugs and substances.
