A KWEKWE man, who was arrested after throwing explosives at Chicken Inn food outlet located in Harare’s city centre, was today denied bail when he appeared at the Harare Magistrates Court.
Douglas Chada was denied bail by Harare magistrate Mrs Tafadzwa Miti, who noted that he was a flight risk and danger to society once released on bail.
In his bail application Chada told the court that he wanted to scare away some thieves who were trailing him.
He claimed to have been in possession of money he earned from artisanal mining.
Mrs Miti ordered him to return to court on November 5 for trial.
Mrs Polite Chikiwa appeared for the State.
