Chicken Inn Football Club has joined the growing list of clubs mourning the deaths of Highlanders Football Club chairman Retired Colonel Kenneth Mhlophe, vice chairman Sifiso “Fiso” Siziba and treasurer Nkani Khoza, who were killed in a road traffic accident on Thursday night.
In a condolence message, the Gamecocks said the deaths of the three executives were a huge loss to Highlanders, Bulawayo and Zimbabwean football.
“It is with deep sadness that we learnt of the passing on of Highlanders executive members, Chairman Rtd Kenneth Mhlophe, Vice Chairman Fiso Siziba and Treasurer Nkani Khoza in a tragic road accident.
“The Chairman, the Board of Executives, Technical Team, Players, Management Staff and the Supporters of Chicken Inn Football Club express their deepest condolences to the Mhlophe, Siziba and Khoza families as we mourn the loss of our great football giants,” the club said.
Chicken Inn said it stood in solidarity with Highlanders and the wider football fraternity during the difficult period.
“We join the Highlanders family and the entire football fraternity in mourning our heroes who have served the club, the community of Bulawayo, the country and the football fraternity with distinction and honour.

“May their souls rest in peace.”
