REVOLUTIONARY singer, Chief Hwenje, says he is ready to meet Tambaoga, who played his part at the turn of the millennium, in preaching the values of patriotism.
The Mai Welly singer is one of the artists billed to perform at this year’s Independence Music Fiesta in Buhera on April 18.
The 12-hour non-stop event will be held at Murambinda B Primary School.
“I’m busy with rehearsals with other boys as you can see and the forthcoming gala means a lot for us.
“The line-up boasts of stars who are capable of entertaining fans for the entire night.
“I can’t wait to share the stage with others like Mukoma Tambaoga, who is a tried-and-tested performer,” he said.
The singer, who is working on his 11th album, assured fans of a surprise at the gala.
“I am one of the artists who keeps on evolving and fans should expect nothing but fireworks in Buhera.
“We are ready for the event where we hope to leave a lasting impression.
“Fans will also hear new songs in Buhera,” he said.
Madzibaba Nicholas Zakaria, who has just turned 68, is one of the major draw cards at the event along with Suluman Chimbetu and Sandra Ndebele.
DJ Fantan and his Chillspot squad of Levels and DJ Ribhe will take care of Zim dancehall lovers.
Jah Master completes the Zim dancehall acts of the night.
Mark Ngwazi, Bio Mudimba of the Kujatajata fame, and Simon Mutambi will take care of sungura lovers.
Mathias Mhere, who is currently on a tour of Australia, will cater for gospel lovers along with Argatha Murudzwa.
