An increasingly popular leisure spot in Bulawayo sports precint has undergone a subtle rebrand and is beginning to become a destination of choice.
Food and drink lovers are lining up to get inside Chiefs Village and last Saturday, dubbed ‘Goat Weekend’ was an epic day out for those that dared the late afternoon chills to enjoy more than fair helpings of goat meat prepared in several delicious ways.
Many are probably wondering why such an odd name for an entertainment was chosen for the village. Don’t let the name scare you! This concept at Bulawayo’s sports themed leisure spot located in the heart of the sports precint is a hit.
Socialite and Chiefs Village entertainment guru, Boss Zozolex said of Goat Weekend: “They love what we’ve done with the atmosphere.”
Goat Weekend featured many a scrumptious and top-notch goat dish, the chef tells us, with a chuckle, that one of which is called a “firecracker goat, which was one of the most popular items on the menu”.
Unique decor and a fully-stocked bar, with an extensive wine, whiskey and gin list and a beer club of sorts.
Boss Zozolex says: “We’re going to have regular exclusive goat parties.”
“Chiefs Village is ready to serve you, and one of the biggest draws to the venue on Saturday… alright… you guys are going to like this one… it’s actually the goat,” Boss Zozolex revealed.
“It’s directly proportional to the amount of cocktails people have, usually, to the things that the goat does,” he laughed.
While the famous goat is staying at Chiefs Village, Boss Zozolex has exciting plans for the growing crowd puller.
