Comm-Gen Chihuri commended the officers for flying Zimbabwe’s flag high by diligently executing their duties through their contribution to the restructuring of the Sudanese Police Force.
He also applauded female officers for their hard work resulting in two of them having their tour of duty extended by another six months on the recommendations of Sudanese officials.
Comm-Gen Chihuri briefed the officers on the forthcoming elections and the Constitution-making process requiring their effort to maintain peace and stability.
“These events will require your effort but I am very optimistic Zimbabweans will rise to the expectations, but I have to warn that Government will not tolerate any form of violence and perpetrators will be dealt with in the strongest way possible”
Comm-Gen Chihuri also met 18 officers leaving for Liberia.
The contingent is made up of nine female and male officers.
Comm-Gen Chihuri urged the officers to be loyal and respectful to the Liberian citizens.
