Chikomo on debut album

Upcoming musician Linda Chikomo believes her debut album “Nguva Yenyasha” that will be launched on Saturday in the United States will be the beginning of everything in her musical career.

Chikomo, who is based in the United Kingdom, said it was encouraging that a number of artistes and individuals here had supported her.

Speaking through her manager, Enock Kamhiriri, she said all has been set for the launch. “Everything is now in place and the artistes involved have all been co-operative, so we are happy,” said Kamhiriri, adding, they were getting overwhelming support from abroad and back home.

“The support from the people back home is overwhelming and we cannot just launch the album here (in UK) without having another launch in Zimbabwe,” he said. Kamhiriri, who doubles as manager and producer, said his studio, Healing Hands Recording Studios, will make sure Zimbabweans abroad will lift the flag high with their music.

Musicians Linda Neza, Pineal Munatsi of the “Zviri Kufaya Ndi-Mwari” fame and Timothy Ngwenya are set to perform at the launch. All the artistes have promised to support her so that they can lift the country’s flag high.
