Chile students and Government face to face

ratify the demands of the social movement for a free education and with no profit motive in mind.
The President of the Chilean Students Federation (FECH) Camila Vallejo announced that they will meet the Chilean President today at La Moneda palace, who had called Friday for a discussion table “under an atmosphere of peace and not of war”.
FECH representatives have considered as very important for the establishment of a real working session that the government has answered the letter they delivered last week containing the main demands regarding the education system.
“It is not a discussion table, or a working session or a negotiation table, but a first approach,” said Vallejo after a long meeting with the leaders of the university federations, this weekend in Temuco, Chile.
Vallejo demanded that all projects presented to the Parliament in the last days are withdrawn, which have been unilaterally made by the Executive, without taking into account the social actors’ opinion. – Prensa Latina.
