CHIMANIMANI Football Association (CHIFA) will meet tomorrow (Saturday) to deliberate on the 2024 season.

The association, which was formed in 2015 as a social entity with eight teams, is growing from strength to strength and now has 16 teams affiliated to it.

All the 16 teams are expected to attend tomorrow’s indaba.

Elands FC won last season’s race, followed by Mausani, Chapter 1 and Masaiti.

CHIFA board is comprised of Samuel Masaiti (chairman), Gwinyai Muusha (secretary) and information and publicity team of Tinashe Murehwa and Simbarashe Chinamira.

During the meeting, the teams are expected to agree on the affiliation fees for this season.

Last season’s affiliation fee was pegged at US$10 per team.

CHIFA’s communications officer Murehwa said the affiliation fees are meant for the day-to-day administration of the league and also caters for the welfare of injured players.

The fund is also used to meet funeral expenses when a player loses a close relative like a spouse, father or mother.

Last season, Masimba Mandevhana and Tinashe Muzhambi managed to move from CHIFA to Rusitu Tigers which is in Division One.
