Chimanye reflects on successful tenure

Joyce Chimanye, a seasoned fashion designer and former chair of the Fashion Council of Zimbabwe (FCoZ), recently shared her remarkable achievements aimed at driving the fashion sector forward.

With over three decades in the industry, Chimanye will be succeeded by Patience Lusengo as the incoming chairperson of the FCoZ.

Sharing her major achievements, Chimanye highlighted several milestones, stating:

“The establishment of a community for Zimbabwean fashion creatives, both in Zimbabwe and the diaspora, aims to create a united voice to promote, support and foster growth for all participants in the Zimbabwean fashion ecosystem.

“The introduction of FCoZ Meet and Greet Events is designed to bring together Zimbabwean fashion creatives for networking and idea sharing as a collective.

“The launch of the WearZim campaign aims to spotlight Zimbabwean fashion brands and encourage Zimbabweans to support local fashion on #WearZim Friday.”
