Juluka Enndo Joint Venture directors Moses Mpofu and Mike Chimombe suffered a legal blow today after the High Court refused to hear their bail application on fresh charges involving a US$9,2 million emanating from the City of Harare street lights tender.

The duo circumvented the Magistrates Court and applied for bail at the High Court.

However, a High Court Judge removed the matter from the roll and ordered that it be dealt with by the Magistrates’ Court.

The duo is accused of submitting falsified documents while bidding for a Harare City Council tender to rehabilitate street lights.

Meanwhile, the High Court is tomorrow expected to deliver a ruling in the case in which the pair is appealing for bail on their first fraud case for allegedly misappropriating US$7 million from the Presidential Goat Scheme.
