Cde Chindori Chininga died in a car accident when a Jeep Cherokee he was driving failed to stop at a T-junction on the Raffingora-Mvurwi Road and rammed into a tree. Cde Chininga was alone in the vehicle contrary to early reports which indicated that there were some passengers in the car who escaped with minor injuries.
The vehicle, which was extensively damaged on the front, was toured from the scene today to a friend’s house at Guruve centre.
Relatives and friends gathered at Guruve District Hospital to see off Cde Chininga’s body.
Burial arrangements were yet to be announced.
