Chinese Vice PM leaves for Angola

Angola following a two-day visit in which the Asian nation extended over US$700 million in loans to Harare.
Vice PM Wang’s visit came on the heels of another visit by the country’s Foreign Affairs Minister Yang Jiechi last month during which he described Zimbabwe as a “key partner in Southern Africa”.
Zimbabwe and China on Monday signed nine economic, technical co-operation and loan deals covering agriculture, mining, manufacturing, health and education among others. China also pledged to sink boreholes and resuscitate Harare’s water and sewer reticulation systems.
Vice PM Wang reiterated China’s call for an end to illegal Western sanctions on Zimbabwe.
