Chinhoyi registers first cholera case

CHINHOYI Municipality has recorded its first cholera case.

In a notice to residents and stakeholders, said the council said:

“We have since recorded one confirmed case and three suspects, which are being monitored at Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital.”

It advised residents to exercise hygiene and wash their hand hands thoroughly before consuming food.

“Eat food while it’s still hot, ensure that all food handling processes are being done hygienically, and correctly dispose of waste.

“Ensure that all containers for storing water are clean and properly lidded. Please note that anyone with diarrhoea should report to the nearest health facility,” said council.
