RESIDENTS in Chinhoyi are now living in fear of a health time bomb, due to the unavailability of water in the town.
It has been more than a week since the residents had water coming through their taps.
In other wards, they have now gone for about two, to four weeks, without water.
Mayor Owen Charuza said:
“As you are aware even where you reside, we had a challenge with electricity, which means water supply would be a challenge also,” he said.
“All outlets remained closed due to low levels of the reservoirs and it would be a challenge to fill them up to get back to normal water distribution without power.”
