Chintuli back on track

Nsingizini Hotspurs forward Nyasha Chintuli is excited to be back in action after shaking off a nagging injury that kept him on the sidelines for a while.

Chintuli had a flying start in the Eswatini league where he scored a hat-trick on his debut but was to be grounded by injury.

On Saturday he was introduced as a second-half substitute and inspired his side to a 2-1 comeback victory against Mbambane Highlanders in a league match.

Chintuli scored the second goal that won his side maximum points bringing his tally to four goals in the league.

Last season the bustling forward struggled to settle at Harare giants, Dynamos, and managed only a single goal.

Chintuli is optimistic that he has finally shaken off the injury.

“It’s tough to suffer an injury when you are trying to hit the ground running. It’s a major setback and the recovery at times takes longer than expected but I can say slowly I have managed to get back to my best.

“Mbambane Highlanders command a lot of respect here and also have a huge following compared to other teams. So coming in and scoring a winning goal for my team against them is encouraging and uplifting.

“Scoring goals is always my priority and getting this one was a good feeling for me. I am looking forward to adding more goals to my name and winning more games for my team.

“So I will continue working hard on and off the pitch for me to achieve team and club goals as I need to be consistent in my performances.

“I can say I have adapted here and it’s all good. Several other guys are here who keep on pushing me to reach for my best.”
