Chinyama gets plaudits at Platinum Stars

PLATINUM Stars spokesperson Aubrey Molobi is happy with former Warriors striker Takesure Chinyama’s high workrate at the team. He said Chinyama’s presence in the team had created a lot of competition and none of the club’s strikers wants to be dropped because of the tussle for jerseys.Molobi described Chinyama as a gem to watch and one of their best signings of the season so far. He also described him as a team player who is capable of creating chances for other players.

Tomorrow Stars will battle it out for the Telkom Knockout final against Orlando Pirates at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga.

“Takesure Chinyama is doing well at training and he has recovered from a flu bug which cost him a starting place in the last game against AmaZulu. In the final we will be relying on him as he knows Pirates very well but it will not be just  a walk to the starting 11, he must prove his worth to the coach Allan Freese in the second final against the Caf Champions League finalists.

“Chinyama is our golden boy, he is creative and knows how to position himself.”

Molobi said Chinyama is as strong as an ox and not an easy player to foul.

Chinyama was signed by the Rustenburg based side this season and already he has won the MTN Top 8 Cup with the team.
