Nico United attacking midfielder, Tinashe Chinyani, is enjoying his game in the Botswana Premier League (BPL).
Chinyani has so far scored two goals and been involved in one assist.
Nico is home to four Zimbabwean players, who include Kelvin Ndebele, Kudakwashe Tsvamuno (vice-captain), and new striker Nigel Mulauzi, who joined from Highlanders.
“My season so far has been good. I feel like in all the games I have been involved in I have been doing well for the team and myself,” said Chinyani.
“It’s exciting that the BPL has been changing over the past few years. It’s now competitive and the teams have a minimum number of foreigners to register.
“The past weeks have been kind to me, as I have scored and made an assist in consecutive games.
“I’ve been putting in a lot of work and I can say the work ethic is now paying off and the results are now reflecting. I hope God is going to continue guiding and leading me in my game on a daily basis.”
“I want to keep on performing at the highest level and helping the team win more games. My targets remain the same, to hit double figures in goals and assists,” he said.
Nico United are 10th on the league table with 15 points, while Gaborone United are the log leaders with 36 points after 14 games.
