IN-FORM Magesi goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze is available for a recall to the senior national soccer team, the Warriors.

Chipezeze last featured for the Warriors before the Covid 19, turning out in the loss to Algeria.

His spell with the Warriors was forgettable as he made costly howlers and has not been called up for national duty.

The Warriors goalkeeping crisis seems to have ended with the recalling of Washington Arubi who has been performing well since the arrival of German coach, Michael Nees.

Meanwhile, in South Africa, the 34-year-old Chipezeze has been a stand-out performer for Magesi.

He has inspired his side in the Carling Black Label Cup, where he has been named Man of the Match in three consecutive games.

The feat has made a section of fans call for his return to the Warriors squad where Arubi has Martin Mapisa and Marley Tavaziwa as understudy.

On whether he still wants to turn out for the Warriors if given a chance, Chipezeze said:

“I would love to play for the national team again.

“Why would I turn down such an opportunity? I still want to represent my nation.”

The Warriors are facing Kenya in a 2025 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier tomorrow before they face Cameroon on Tuesday.

Chipezeze wished the Warriors the best of luck ahead of the two fixtures.

“I wish the boys all the best. They have done so well and fought hard to reach where they are. I believe in the team, a draw or win against Kenya is possible,” he said.
