POLICE in Chipinge this week launched the WhatsApp platform aimed at improving service delivery in the district. The launch comes against a backdrop of increasing robbery, theft and rape cases. Chipinge District police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Blessing Kadzuraumera, said the move would enhance communication between members of the public and the police.
“I am glad to announce the launch of Chipinge District WhatsApp number which is 0784934804.The WhatsApp network launch will improve the flow of information from all corners of the district. We are urging the public to embrace this technology to fight crime.
“The WhatsApp number will be operating 24 hours and manned by trained officers to ensure swift reaction to information received.
