CHIPINGE district has the highest number of women who responded to the call to open accounts with the Women’s Bank for them to access loans to start small-scale business projects.

In an interview on the sidelines of a Zanu PF Women’s League small business exhibition at Tanganda Hall, Women’s Bank loan officer Mr Kasina Hodzi confirmed that women in Chipinge district are the pace setters in the quest to get business loans.

Said Mr Hodzi: “We are happy that the response to calls for women to open accounts with the Women’s Bank in order to access loans for businesses has been overwhelming across the province of Manicaland. However, it is worthy noting that Chipinge has the highest number of people who responded compared to other districts. We continue imploring women to come and sit down with us so that we fight poverty together.”
