ZIMBABWE National Army Commanderv Lieutenant General Walter Tapfumaneyi, has commended army personnel for their high standards of discipline and resilience, which he said are critical in the protection and defence of the country.

Lt-Gen Tapfumaneyi said he was impressed by the strength and endurance displayed by forces drawn from various formations during the Nyanga March, Platoon Shoot and Competition closing ceremony held at the All Arms Battle School in Nyanga yesterday.

“This important exercise was last held in 2019 and I directed that it be resumed. Despite the challenges, you showed great effort and resilience to complete the exercise. Fighting techniques are evolving and now include a lot of technology. The Zimbabwe National Army is also investing in training its personnel to adapt to new fighting and defence techniques,” said Lt-Gen Tapfumaneyi.
