Chipinge water connections shift up

Post Reporter

CHIPINGE Town Council is targeting to improve the water distribution network by connecting more residential areas to its water reticulation system as a way of improving service delivery.

This follows the connection of at least 180 recently constructed houses in Usanga suburb to the town’s main reticulation system as the council moves to provide piped, clean, safe and adequate water to residents.

The council’s chairperson, Mr Zivanai Nyakuchena, said the development comes as a relief to residents who were fetching water from unsafe sources.

He added that the ongoing connection work will also be spread to other residential areas in the farming town.
