Chips scoops Sage awards

Local software dealer Chips Computing Services walked away with six awards for its role as a Sage software dealer at a recent Softline conference in South Africa.
It was also awarded Sage Premier Solution Provider status, the highest status a dealer can attain.
The award of Premier status has made Chips, which is a specialist software company that focuses specifically on Pastel and Sage products, one of only four Sage Premier Solution Providers in Africa.
Congratulating the head of the Chips Sage Division, Mr Charles Kuyayama, and his team on the achievement, Chips managing director Mr Rob Watson, who represented the company at the conference, said the firm had scooped the majority of the awards.
The conference was held at the Champagne Sports Resort in the Drakensburg Mountains on February 4.
“It certainly made me very proud to be associated with Chips, as we scooped the majority of the awards,” Mr Watson said.
Chips is one of hundreds of Sage dealers in Africa, including South Africa, which made this achievement particularly spectacular. It was awarded the Best Achiever Africa Award, Alchamex Best Performer of the Year 2010 – Sage ERP X3 Award and Best Performance – Southern Africa Award.
Chips was also presented with the Sage ERP X3 best performance and Line 500 best performance awards. It was runner-up for the National Solution Provider Award.
“We are naturally proud of this achievement,” commented Mr Kuyayama.
“We have invested a lot of money in staff training, sending staff to South Africa for training on new products and upgrades, so that we can continue to provide our clients with the technical expertise and back-up they expect from us.
