THE Premier Soccer League yesterday summoned Ngezi Platinum Stars and their head coach Takesure Chiragwi to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee.
This follows incidents that occurred during their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match against Dynamos at Rufaro on October 4.
Chiragwi stands accused of slapping one of his players Mcdonald Makuwe during a heated moment, as the Platinum miners protested a goal that had been awarded to Dynamos in the 1-1 draw.
The situation got so tense that the Ngezi Platinum Stars players threatened to walk out before sanity was restored.
According to a statement from the PSL, Chiragwi’s charges include violent and disorderly conduct and improper behaviour likely to bring the game of football into disrepute.
The club will also face charges that include disturbing the normal proceedings of a match and improper behaviour and conduct exhibited by their technical team and players.
The disciplinary hearings will take place at the PSL offices on October 28.
