FORGOTTEN Warrior Edmore Chirambadare has extended his contract with South African top-flight league side Magesi.
Chirambadare was nominated for the Carling Knockout Cup player of the tournament.
He will be competing for this award with his teammate and countryman, Elvis Chipezeze, and Mamelodi Sundowns’ Ingraam Rayners.
The awards ceremony will take place on July 29.
The former Kaizer Chiefs winger has been battling quietly winning the hearts of many in Mzansi where he has been playing in the last five seasons.
His contract with Magesi ran out at the end of the just-ended campaign and several clubs were interested in his services.
But, Magesi are said to have effortless tied down their man with a satisfying deal.
Chirambadare is one of the few players who have lasted this long in Mzansi in the last decade.
He attributed his longevity to his wife.
“It is because of the grace of God and also a supportive wife that has made it possible for me to stay this long in South Africa,” said Chirambadare.
“She was also the first to let me know that I was nominated for this award and I was very grateful to God for remembering my name.”
The former Chicken Inn man also stressed his wish to play for the Warriors.
“I still wish to represent my country at any stage and I hope the dream will come true.
“I believe I still have a lot to offer given a chance to be in the national team,” he said.
