Chiredzi DCC polls postponed

Voting was abandoned in four wards due to disagreements.

In Chiredzi Cde Denford Masiya was pitted against Cde Edward Matsilele. Elections were stopped after disagreements over the composition of the voters’ roll. Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial chairman, Cde Lovemore Matuke yesterday confirmed postponement of the polls.

“The elections to choose a new DCC executive for Chiredzi were not com­pleted in four wards after disagree­ments over the composition of the vot­ers’ roll so we stopped them and the party will soon decide when voting in the remaining wards will be com­pleted,” said Cde Matuke.
