Voting was abandoned in four wards due to disagreements.

In Chiredzi Cde Denford Masiya was pitted against Cde Edward Matsilele. Elections were stopped after disagreements over the composition of the voters’ roll. Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial chairman, Cde Lovemore Matuke yesterday confirmed postponement of the polls.

“The elections to choose a new DCC executive for Chiredzi were not completed in four wards after disagreements over the composition of the voters’ roll so we stopped them and the party will soon decide when voting in the remaining wards will be completed,” said Cde Matuke.
