Chisora’s plans to fight Wladimir Klitschko were scuppered by injury to the IBF, WBA and WBO champion, and he faces Vitali in Munich on 18 February.
“Vitali is going down in the eighth round,” said Chisora.
“Number eight is my lucky number. He just does not know what is coming — I am coming to take what is his and make it mine.”
Chisora — who also lost to Tyson Fury in their British title showdown in July last year — takes on the three-time world champion on 18 February.
The Zimbabwean-born Chisora has lost two of his 17 professional fights, the more recent for the European title against Finnish fighter Helenius in Helsinki, but the former British and Commonwealth champion remains confident he can pull off a shock victory over Vitali.
“Everybody is tired of you and your brother, because you do not bring excitement to the game. (You) have killed the sport I love,” Chisora told the champion.
“It is time for the new king, and that will be me.”
Although Klitschko (40), concedes Chisora is a “hungry” contender, the veteran is in no doubt he has both the game and the physical ability to end the Londoner’s challenge.
Vitali knocked out Herbie Hide in London in June 1999 to claim the WBO title and also saw off a challenge by Danny Williams in 2004, but was beaten by Lennox Lewis when they clashed for the WBC title in 2003.
“I have a lot of experience, but now I have to prove my skills again against a British guy,” said Klitschko.
“I feel like I am 25, have been sparring against guys who are half my age and I am in great condition and form.”
He added: “Every fight can be your last, so I prepare like it will be the last fight in (my) career.
“I will give my best to hold this title for a long time and I can give it back to the federation for myself when I decide.” — BBC Sport.
