Chitima selected for the French Africa foundation Young Leaders

Zimbabwean actor Tendaiishe Chitima has been selected as one of the 30 people from 6000 applicants for French Africa foundation Young Leaders 2025.

Chitima recently broke new ground in her acting career, with her international film debut on the Hollywood production G20. She plays the role of Agent Lane on the American thriller now streaming globally

The French-African Foundation has an essential and exclusive ambition: to support the leadership of this new generation evolving on the Franco-African economic, political, social and cultural scene.

In an interview with Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment hub, Chitima said she has relocated back to Zimbabwe and excited to contribute meaningfully to the creative economy.

“Extremely honoured to be part of the French African Foundation Young Leaders 2025 cohort!

“To be selected as one of 30 from 6000 applicants is mind-blowing!

“This opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time, as l recently relocated back to Zimbabwe and am excited to contribute meaningfully to the creative economy here.

“I look forward to collaborating, sharing and learning from young African and French leaders who like me, are passionate about leading with purpose.”

Chitima said, for two weeks, one in France and one in an African country, the program offers a unique opportunity for, Young Leaders to reflect and act collectively on the challenges of tomorrow, through different formats of exchanges in which they take part.

“Meetings with influential personalities. Training courses led by renowned experts. Discussions with public and private decision-makers.

“Each year, the program benefits from the high patronage of the President of the French Republic and the President of the African country hosting the promotion.

“The vision is to have a clear desire to build bridges between African countries and France,” said Chitima.

Africa and France belong to a single generation, carrying shared responsibilities in a common world, we wish to contribute to the emergence of a Franco-African succession, which is able, by its values and means of action, to meet the social, economic and political challenges of its time.

The French African Foundation initiates firstly an annual promotion of Young Leaders and can be led to label events and initiatives in Africa and France as part of the desire to support the leadership of French and African youth.

The renowned actress, also featured in Jah Prayzah’s music video “Kuno” released two days ago, as she performed with the poise of a seasoned video vixen.
