Fashionista and businesswoman, Gaudencia Velani-Dhlamini, is also a talented musician.
A praise and worship singer at Spirit Embassy led by Prophet Uebert Angel, Gau, as she is fondly known, has decided to release her long-awaited single titled Wakandisimudza.
Gau featured US-based musician, Reverend Toggy Chivaviro, on this product.
She is currently working on the visuals of the single.
It was recorded at Eternity Studios by McDonald Chidavaenzi.
“I have always been a praise and worship singer in church, but I was hesitant to record.
“I got the courage to record this single (Wakandisimudza) with the help of Reverend Chivaviro.
“Reverend Chivaviro happens to be my home boy from Gokwe and it was very easy for me to convince him,” she said.
Gau said it was a marvel working with Rev Chivaviro in the studio.
“The chemistry was amazing to say the least. It was as if we had rehearsed it many times, but that was not the case.
“When I sang my verse, Revend Chivaviro complemented me with his verse.
“I just enjoyed the experience that I had with him.
“To be honest, that man is super blessed.”
After the Rev Chivaviro collaboration, Gau promised more to come.
“I will release a full album next year, but at the moment I want to promote this single.
“I have lined up a number of collaborations with the likes of Jah Prayzah, Sabastain Magacha and Mathias Mhere.
“I have met these guys from church since I used to be a member of AFM.
“I only joined Spirit Embassy in recent years and I owe my success to my spiritual father, Uebert Angel,” she added.
Largely inspired by Fungisai Zvakavapano, Gau said she was willing to meet the diva.
“I have never met Fungisai in my life, but she is someone who inspires me as a businesswoman, praise and worship singer and a mother.
“I will be glad if I meet her in person and possibly do a collaboration together,” she said.
Besides music, Gau is also a motivational speaker, modelling instructor and entrepreneurship mentor.
She is the current Miss Rural Zimbabwe licence holder for Mashonaland Central and Manicaland provinces.
