Chiwara looks for sponsorship

MZILIKAZI Paralympic sprinter Grieg Chiwara is seeking sponsorship to take part in the Danhiko Paralympic Games in Harare next week.
The Danhiko Games will be held from 3-6 October.
Chiwara, a gold medallist in the 100 and 400 metres in the last edition of the competition, is appealing to well-wishers to assist him source funds so that he can travel.

He needs money for transport, registration, accommodation, food and refreshments. “Someone has already given me a kit, I’m appealing for the public for more assistance so that I can travel to Harare for the Games,” he said.

Chiwara is promising fireworks at the Games as he seeks to defend his 100 and 400 metres titles next week.

“I’m ready, I have been training well and so I’m positive ngizabatshiya futhi,” said Chiwara.
Qhubeka Basketball Club is another Bulawayo-based Paralympics team that is travelling to take part in the Danhiko Games.
