CHIZ IN SUN CITY

TWO Chisipite teams took part in the Private High Schools Tennis Tournament in Sun City. They battled Somerset, Hellenic Academy, Cornwall Hill and St Anne’s. Chispite thrashed Beaulieu 9-0, the B side beat Redhill A but lost to Holy Rosary A and Merrifield A. “It was an excellent experience for the teams, providing exposure to a high standard of tennis,” the school said. “Congratulations to Lucy Peppard, who won four out of the five singles, and Tatenda Zimhunga, who won four out of six singles. Special mention must be made of Amelie Butler, who played one of the most exciting, and lengthy matches, in the girls’ section. This tour is an excellent precursor for the upcoming Melbury Cup Tennis Tournament.”
