REVEREND Tom Amenkhienan, the second most powerful man at Christ Embassy, is in Zimbabwe for a four-day conference which is scheduled to start in Harare today.
The four-day conference, which will end on Sunday, will be held at the Hippodrome in the capital and Rev Amenkhienan is being hosted by Ambassador Uebert Angel of Spirit Embassy.
Rev Amenkhienan is one of the most powerful men in religious circles on the continent and has been together with Christ Embassy leader, Pastor Chris, since their university days in Nigeria.
“This Thursday to Saturday, from 6pm CAT (Central African Time) and Sunday from 11am CAT, it’s a season of your visitation with the Most Reverend Tom Amenkhienan at the Harare Hippodrome,” posted Ambassador Angel on his X platform.
Christ Embassy, which started as a prayer group at Umbrose University in Nigeria, has exploded into a very influential mega church with over 145 branches dotted across five continents.
Rev Amenkhienan has been part of this explosion in more than four decades of service, and leadership, at Christ Embassy since 1983.
He grew to become a member of the Central Executive Council of the organisation, which is also known as Believers Loveworld, around the globe.
“Even during the great persecution of Pastor Chris and Christ Embassy, he has stood firm and proved his commitment to Pastor Chris,” reads his profile on the organisation’s forums.
“Tom Amenkhienan is an exemplary leader, teacher, pastor and follower of Reverend Dr Chris Oyakhilome.
