THE world we are in is far from perfect. It has more what is wrong than what’s right. A lot of people who lack understanding are then quick to blame other people and they go a step further as to blame God for what’s wrong with the world.The truth, God really has not contributed in messing the world up. On the contrary because of Him it has not yet gone completely crazy. The state of the world is the fault of men, this is so because God gave the earth to men for us to manage.
He did this in the Garden of Eden. He said subdue and fill the earth. To subdue is to put under control. So if the earth is of control, it’s not Gods fault, it’s the fault of men.
With a world like this imagine then how difficult it is to run a business in a world that is insane. No one knows what will happen, no one know for certain what tomorrow will be like. I find it better to rely on the spirit of God. He is an amazing helper.
I have countless examples of how he has helped me in the past and continues to help me today in all aspects of my life including work and business. I will attempt to describe him.
Even some Christians have no idea who He is. The Holy Spirit is a person, not a thing.Although He is sometimes described as Fire, Water, Oil and Wind but he is none of those. He is described in that way because of the way He would have manifested at that particular time, but he is a person. The word is full of evidence that he is a person.
He has a will
1 Corinthians 12 verse 11
11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
The wind has no will, water has no will. Only a person has a will. Having a will means to wish or to desire something. The bible says he distributes gifts according to his will.
It means the Spirit of God thinks and comes up with solutions to things he wants to achieve. This means he is just like me and you in terms of having desires.
The difference is that in His desires, he is bigger and more advanced because he knows everything and everyone. So his choices and his will is a hundred person informed. A funny thing is that he knows you more than you know yourself.
He has a thinking and intelligent ability
2 Kings 6 verse 11-12
11 This enraged the king of Aram. He summoned his officers and demanded of them, “Will you not tell me which of us is on the side of the king of Israel?” “None of us, my lord the king,” said one of his officers, “but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.”
If the spirit of God has a will, then it means He has an ability to think. In 2nd Kings 6 the King of Aram found himself at war with people who had the spirit of God on their side. He would discuss battle ideas, the Spirit of God would come up with better ones during the time of battle.
This happened to a point where the King thought he had a spy in his ranks. He actually thought he has someone feed the Israelites with information. He did not realise that he was at war with a mind he could not mach. I actually know of people that the spirit of God has helped on their new jobs. He has the ability to think of simple solutions for problems that you think are big.
He has emotions
Ephesians 4 verse 30
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
We can make Him angry. You can make Him happy, you can make him sad. All emotions you ever feel, the spirit of God also feels. If you are sensitive to Him, you are able to know what He feels about any situation. Any spirit filled person will tell you that some of the most common things that He hates are sin, oppression of the people of God and many more. Things that make Him happy are, worship, evangelism, the list is endless. It is better to stay on His good side because he does not take kindly to being angered.
The Holy Spirit Sees
Acts 5 verse 1-3
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?
The Spirit of God sees everything. No matter how dark or secret the room is when the thing is done, He sees it. In the case of Ananias and Sapphira He was there when they were planning to deceive the church.The problem was not that they took half the money.
The problems was that they were not honest on how much they were taking to the church. They wanted to keep up appearances to the rest of the congregation.
This should then mean you cannot run away to South Africa to go and become a thug, then come back pretending to be doing legitimate things, He sees you. You cannot lie to Him. He actually hates being lied to.
The Holy Spirit can hear
2 Kings 6 verse 11-12

The Spirit of God hears even things you plan in your heart. The King of Aram learnt the hard way. The Spirit of God would hear all his plans and tell Elisha the prophet. If he told the prophet the plans of Aram, it means the Holy Spirit speaks
Acts 10 verse 19-20
19 While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Simon, three men are looking for you. So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.”
In my life He has told me what to invest in. Out of foolishness I once joined a pyramid scheme. He told me when the scheme would start demanding money from me and told me to get out because it would eventually collapse.
It surely did a few weeks on. Try Him, ask for ideas from Him and see if he won’t respond. He speaks just like me and you.
He leads and guides, he is a teacher, he is a helper. The spirit of God is a wonderful friend to have. Befriend him today and your life will be changed to unlock infinite abilities.
