Christmas boost for people with albinism

THE Kubatana Afrochine Trust, the charitable arm of Afrochine Smelting Pvt Ltd, on Thursday donated skin products worth $200 000 to Noble Hands Trust, which looks after people with albinism.

The donation consisted of sunscreen lotions and sun hats. In a statement after the handover ceremony, Kubatana Afrochine Trust applauded the work that Noble Hands Trust is doing.

“We are delighted to be making this gesture to our friends at Noble Hands Trust because we are inspired by the work they are doing within the albinism community throughout Zimbabwe.

“This is the first act of cooperation with them and would like to partner with them in their various programmes aimed at empowering and making sustainable livelihoods for people living with albinism in Zimbabwe.”

Kubatana Afrochine Trust said it is looking forward to investing in more corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives around the country.
