The incident, which occurred between Saturday at about 9pm and Sunday morning, was confirmed by Matabeleland North police spokesperson Inspector Billie Dube.

Insp Dube said Emmanuel Ncube (46), from Madona Line, was found hanging from the roof trusses by his wife, Ms Silibaziso Ngwenya.

“Ncube and Ngwenya had a long standing domestic dispute dating back to August 2011. He had been accusing his wife of infidelity,” said Insp Dube.

“The wife alleges that Ncube went to sleep in his bedroom hut on 8 December and was found dead the following morning at about 6am.”

The matter was reported to the police in Tsholotsho who attended the scene and no foul play is suspected.
