CHINHOYI Stars coach, Richard Chunga, lived up to his promise after he inflicted Black Mambas with their second defeat of the season in the ZIFA Northern Region Division One League at Chinhoyi Stadium on Saturday.
Chunga, who has vast experience in Division One having led Chegutu Pirates before, said he was happy with the win and it will boost their fight against relegation.
The team won through a 26th minute strike by Marshall Mupenha.
“I am very happy with the win and I hope it will give us confidence as we fight against relegation. The boys lived up to our expectations and this was a morale booster for us.
“We worked hard from the preparations. The game was tough, but we managed to hold on to our lead as the opponents threw everything at us. We are looking forward to continue doing well from this win,” said Chunga.
